Habitat for Humanity Broward

Habitat for Humanity of Broward seeks volunteers with skills as well as compassion. Some volunteers are skilled carpenters, while others just have good hearts and willing hands. The common thread is the desire to give back to the community. By donating your time, you can make a difference in the lives of families in need throughout Broward County. Age restrictions: According to federal law, all construction volunteers must be 16 or older. No one under the age of 16 will be permitted on the construction site for safety and liability reasons. Volunteers under the age of 18 must keep their feet on the ground at all times, and cannot use power tools. There are no restrictions for volunteers over 18.
Project or Activity:

ReStore Phone Volunteers
The Habitat ReStore is a critical part of Habitat Broward so by supporting the ReStore, you’re helping provide more homes to more families in Broward County.
Volunteers are needed to answer the phones Monday-Friday 9:30-6, and Saturday 8-6. Due to the training and orientation involved, along with the fact that it takes a few days to truly learn everything, they ask for a once per week volunteer commitment for at least 3 months.

Individual Construction Volunteers
According to federal law, all construction volunteers must be age 16 or older. No one under the age of 16 will be permitted on the construction site for safety and liability reasons. Volunteers under the age of 18 must keep their feet on the ground at all times, and cannot use power tools.
Individual volunteer opportunities are available Tuesday through Saturday year-round, excluding holidays. All individual volunteers must register and complete a brief online orientation prior to volunteering for the first time.

Office Volunteers
Office volunteers are needed anytime Tuesday-Friday from 9-5 to complete tasks such as filing and data entry.
