Fifth Grade

Kitah Dalet (5th – 6th Grade)

Year 1
Our upper elementary grades of Religious School continue the innovative ways of how to bring Judaism to life, but this time, through stories. Students explore Torah and Talmud tales, uncover the wisdom of midrashim (Rabbinic stories), and connect these ancient narratives to modern values. With hands-on learning and thought-provoking discussions, students discover that Jewish stories aren’t just from the past. They’re blueprints for how we live, grow, and make meaningful connections today.

Year 2
With a focus on values and commandments, students engage with real-life values while learning about key Jewish lifecycle moments: weddings, funerals, baby namings, and more. Through creative learning and thoughtful reflection, they discover how Jewish tradition helps us celebrate, remember, and develop at every stageof life, making ancient practices deeply relevant in the world they live in today. This is the true definition providing Holy Moments, Open Arms and Meaningful Connections and Engaging Community.
