Weston AYSO Soccer Program

Project or Activity: Volunteer by being a coach, assistant coach, referee (ages 12 and up), assistant referee (ages 9 and up), team parent or help with the administration of AYSO. No experience is necessary. Free courses are offered in coaching and refereeing.
Volunteer to be a soccer buddy (ages 10 and up) to help a participant play soccer in the VIP program. AYSO VIP Program provides a quality soccer experience for children and adults whose physical or mental disabilities make it difficult to successfully participate on mainstream teams.

Miami Dolphins Foundation’s Special Teams Volunteer Program

The Miami Dolphins Special Teams is a unique volunteer organization created to enlist and mobilize the ongoing services of the community with the Miami Dolphins staff, players and alumni. The mission of the Special Teams is to offer hands-on services to communities and families in need, to partner with existing organizations on worthwhile social, civic and charitable programs, to provide assistance at Miami Dolphins Foundation events, and to support community efforts in times of emergency.
Members can sign up for volunteer activities based on their individual interests, abilities and schedules.

Sports Gift, Inc. *

Sports Gift is focused on providing sports to underprivileged children throughout the world and promoting sports related community service among the youth. Sports Gift works to improve the lives and give hope to impoverished children through a variety of sports programs including the collection and donation of sports equipment.
Project or Activity: By organizing a sports equipment collection in your community, you can help provide sports equipment to these needy children. The mission is simple – collect gently used and new sports equipment to donate to underprivileged children around the world. Sports Gift has made setting up a sports equipment collection unbelievably easy. They provide you with materials and tips to make sure your collection is successful. Once you have collected the equipment, you can deliver it to Sports Gift offices in person or by mail. They will also provide community service letters to student volunteers to recognize their dedication.

Passback – US Soccer Foundation

Soccer is a unifying force that brings together people of all ethnicities and has the power to open doors, hearts and minds of those who play. Through the US Soccer Foundation’s Passback program, new and gently used soccer gear is collected by organizations, teams, clubs and individuals and is redistributed across the globe to help underserved communities play soccer.

Project Beisbol

Project Béisbol is a non-profit, international organization dedicated to delivering donated baseball and softball supplies to children in underprivileged communities in Latin America. Project Beisbol proudly offers volunteer and internship opportunities. Project Béisbol representatives are available to pick up donations in South Florida and select cities around the United States.
Project or Activity: Organize an equiptment drive with your team, with friends, or individually. Examples of supplies needed are: baseballs and softballs, gloves, bats (wood and aluminum), catcher’s gear, helmets, cleats, batting gloves, training videos, and field equipment like bases and pitching rubbers.

Weston Miracle League and Pembroke Pines Miracle League

Miracle League povides opportunities for children and young adults with disabilities in South Florida to play
Miracle League Baseball, regardless of their abilities.
Project or Activity: Angels in the Outfield: Every player needs a “buddy” to be with them at the plate and in the field. Children 13-18 are preferred, adults are welcome.
