The major components of the Third Grade curriculum are Torah, Beit Knesset/Beit T’filah, Israel, and Hebrew. The students will understand that there are five books in the Torah and have the opportunity to make personal connections to many of our foundational stories. They will study the history of communal centers of prayer (the Synagogue) and be able to describe the purpose of the ritual objects, people, and places found within the building. Third Grade students are in their second year of formal Hebrew studies and will expand their prayer vocabulary.
